A Family Christmas Tree Farm Since 1989
Narre Warren Christmas Tree Farm has been growing Christmas trees at 393 Pound Road since 1989. We’re a small, privately run farm, and our trees are trimmed and shaped by hand.
Real Christmas Trees Near Berwick and Narre Warren
The farm was planted in 1989, back when there were only a handful of choose-and-cut Christmas tree farms around Melbourne’s outer suburbs. Most of those have since been built over. Pound Road is the one that’s still here.
Four years ago we replanted the whole farm. Those trees are now fully grown and ready, which is why we’re ready to reopen this December.
Our Christmas trees
Our trees are all Pinus radiata, the Monterey pine. It’s the Christmas tree most Australians grew up with, and the one that handles our dry summers best.
We grow them without sprays of any kind. Each tree is trimmed by hand over several years, which is what gives it the dense, full shape you want in a living room. A tree takes about four years to reach a usable size, and the taller ones have been growing a good deal longer than that.
Trees range from 1.5m to 3.5m, and there are thousands to choose from.
